Grand Rapids Label Company's customers rely on our in-house test facilities for product development and certified specification testing.

GRL has two in-house labs designed for production and customer support. The Product Development Lab & Materials Test Labs meet all the requirements of ISO/TS 16949 & ISO 14001. The labs assure that all product manufactured meets or exceeds the specifications set by our customers. Because everything is tested internally, there is no high cost associated with out-sourcing to independent lab facilities.

Many companies including, General Motors, Ford Motor Co., and Procter & Gamble, require either a certificate of analysis with each shipment or annual proof of compliance thereby eliminating the need on their part for time consuming and costly incoming quality inspections. Product may be received just in time and go directly into the production process.

The lab facilities at Grand Rapids Label Company are equipped with state of the art testing equipment, allowing qualified and experienced personnel to perform a wide range of environmental and physical testing on the finished product.

Specialty products for many GRL customers have also been developed in these labs. Products such as:

• Removable tracking barcodes for the
  United States Postal Service.
• Quiet, non-picking and removable
  adhesives for pouch closures.
• Pattern coated products.
  
• PS labels with removable overlaminates
  for window appliqués (oil filter patent).
